My class is finally in the making...

I was in Orlando for the day today and stopped by one of my favorite scrapbooking stores, the Scrappy Boutique, on my way home.  That place is dangerous.  She had just put out several brand new lines, including the most anticipated (for me) Ambrosia and Eva lines.  The papers were stunning and I finally got to see the new Pink Paislee in person.  Bought those too.  The new AC Thickers are yummy. New fonts and glitter! I recently discovered a line called Glitz- keep your eye out for their fabulous rub-ons.  To. Die. For. I picked up these lil guys at Violettes earlier this summer....

Some of you may be excited to know, I picked up most of the materials for my class I'll be teaching in November at the MS Crop for Hope. There's just one thing Jackie and I have to work out before I start creating, otherwise, I will have to go in another direction for my class. Keep checking back for *glimpses* of the class project.

Busy Bee

I finally got around to organizing my scrap space today. Thanks to my growing assortment of scrapbooking supplies (paper especially), I have taken over half the guest room.  Sorry mom and dad.

The family has been living in complete chaos since I moved home 3 weeks ago, but little by little, over the past week, I've organized room-by-room.  It feels great to know where things are.

Now that my scrap space is conducive to creating, I can get to work. I'm so excited!  I plan to submit a few pages to some places at the end of the month. Stay tuned...

The Beginning

Through power of persuasion I have decided to start my own blog.  This will be a place where I can post my work in addition to providing an avenue for communicating with my scrapping buddies.

Said by practically all of my scrapbooking and non-scrapbooking friends, apparently I need to start submitting my work.  Until now, I have used school as  an excuse, and a legitimate excuse it was. But, it is not the only reason I have chosen not to submit my work.  To put it plainly, it's frightening and no one likes rejection.  And with submitting work in such a massively popular and competitive arena, like scrapbooking, it's inevitable- a normal occurrence.  Nonetheless, as my dad often says, like winning the lotto, you can't win unless you buy a ticket. So with that, in order to be published (or have a chance of being published) I need to submit my work. Now that I've graduated from college, I think it's important that I start getting my pages out there for the world to see- whether it be on my blog, on a website, or in a magazine- I have to start somewhere. And so I begin.  Wish me luck. Your support and words of encouragement are so appreciated and have helped me lose sight of my stupid insecurities.

Thank you all.
